Are Apple Wallet passes secure for event ticketing?

Do passes update automatically when details change?
Yes. All dynamic passes created in QR Maker support live push updates. If an event location changes, points are added to a loyalty card, or a flight is delayed, the pass automatically refreshes on the device and triggers a push alert.
How does geofencing / lock screen notifications work?
You can associate up to 10 geographic coordinates (SSID coordinates or coordinates of storefronts) when creating your pass. When the user passes within range, iOS automatically displays the card directly on their lock screen for fast scanning.
Do users need to install an external app to add passes?
No app is required to add or save passes. Apple Wallet is pre-installed on every iOS device. When a user scans the QR code or clicks a download link, the system prompts them with a preview of the pass, and a single tap adds it directly.
